Bohemian Jewellery Styles

Bohemian jewellery, often referred to as "boho" jewellery, is known for its free-spirited and eclectic style. It draws inspiration from various cultures, including the Bohemian lifestyle, Native American, Middle Eastern, and vintage elements. Here are some characteristics and common elements of bohemian jewellery:

Turquoise: Turquoise gemstones are a signature element of boho jewellery and my ultimate favourite style. They are often used in necklaces, rings, and bracelets. The blue-green colour of turquoise complements the bohemian aesthetic.

Feathers: Feathers are a recurring motif in bohemian jewellery, lending a sense of freedom and nature to the pieces. They can be used in earrings, hair accessories, or as pendant elements.

Handmade and Artisanal: Many boho pieces are handmade or appear to be artisan-crafted. This emphasis on craftsmanship contributes to the unique and individualised nature of bohemian jewellery.

Vintage and Retro Styles: Pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia or vintage charm are popular in boho jewellery. This can include antique-style lockets, filigree details, or aged metal finishes.

Bohemian jewellery embraces an "anything goes" approach, allowing individuals to mix and match various elements to create their own unique and personal style. It's a versatile and expressive style that can be incorporated into everyday fashion, music festivals, and more.
